With her fresh-faced, innocent look, Noel was perfectly cast as the wholesome girl-next-door looking for fun or romance on the beach, on campus, or on vacation. Wearing the skimpiest of bikinis, the effervescent actress\u00a0was a highlight of a gaggle of teenage and beach films\u2014<em>Get Yourself a College Girl <\/em>(\u201cThe swingin\u2019-est blast ever filmed.\u201d)<em>, Beach Ball <\/em>(\u201cNothing bounces like <em>Beach Ball<\/em>!\u201d), <em>Girl Happy <\/em>(\u201cElvis jumps with the campus crowd to make the beach \u2018ball\u2019 bounce!!!\u201d), <em>Wild Wild Winter <\/em>(\u201cA surfin\u2019 snow ball!)<em>, <\/em>and <em>For Singles Only<\/em> (\u201cSee how the single half lives\u2026in co-ed pads where the unmarrieds swing 24 hours a day!\u201d).\u00a0 When the beach films became passe during the late sixties, Noel segued to the biker genre with roles in <em>The Glory Stompers<\/em> and <em>The Tormentors<\/em>. No typical starlet she, Chris\u00a0became the first female disc jockey on Armed Forces Radio in 1966 and began visiting Vietnam on her own to help boost the morale of the GIs. Her devotion to our military has never stopped and she dfounded Ceasefire House in Florida to help homeless Vietnam vets.
